Ben recorded his first solo release while Noise Addict were still together in 1995. Ben's debut solo album released was recorded by Chicago luminary Brad Wood (Tortoise, Liz Phair, Veruca Salt) and earned Ben high praise from his peers. It was an infectious and evocative debut release, showcasing an accomplished songwriter although Ben was only 16 at the time.

Using Brad Wood once again, the album featured friends and guests including Melissa Auf de Maur on piano, organ and backing vocals, Mike D on drums and Money Mark tinkering the keyboards.
