RE:
CONSTITUTION

BEN SAYS:
"Re:constitution.
Amiel's work moves me. Being an Australian artist can
be such a strange and beautiful thing. This film is
so full of passion about being an Australian. Im not
sure what that will mean to people around the world,
but I hope it translates to some degree. I've watched
this over and over again and I'm constantly struck by
the contradictions that it raises. Be baffled. Enjoy."

SYNOPSIS:
RE: CONSTITUTION is an experimental essay film
compiled as a visual preamble to the Australian Constitution.
Using Australian media icons to fracture the artifice
of the "Lucky Country", RE: CONSTITUTION
presents a face of Australia that is neither proud nor
tolerant - A country of happy little vegemites with
their heads in the sand.
